One of the first modifications people do to their new personal watercraft and in my case my new to me yamaha superjet is replace the intake grate and the rideplate. This post will outline the differences visually between the WORX intake grate and the protec intake grate, and the OEM Yamaha Superjet intake grate.
Well after a couple weeks and a bit of a worry my Skat-Trak 12/17 3mm cutback, balanced and race finish impeller arrived!
So, after purchasing my new to me 1990 Yamaha SuperJet w/lots of modifications including engine work
I needed to re-work the hood air tubes because the dual carbs do not allow for the tube to work, and someone had removed the other tube as well. So, without tubes the water splashed right ON TOP the carb and woud cause some serious water ingestion problems.
Like many others who get a new toy that has an engine I too wanted to know which oil was best to run in my new superjet.
I recently purchased a new intake grate for my superjet and installed it. But, before I was able to install it I had to figure out what silicone to use to seal up the bolt holes and around the intake grate.
